Press Release Premiere of BREAD & BUTTER Shopping Nights in Berlin-Mitte BREAD & BUTTER Shopping Nights is taking place for the first time in Berlin-Mitte. On Wednesday, 6 July 2011 and Thursday, 7 July 2011 a number of stores from the urban lifestyle segment will be extending their opening hours until 10pm. Karl-Heinz Müller, Managing Director of BREAD & butter GmbH, said: "Numerous accompanying events are taking place during BREAD & BUTTER and visitors from all over the world and professionals from the textile industry are coming to Berlin. We want Berliners with an interest in fashion to become even more involved in these fashion happenings and to be able to soak up the city's unique fashion flair, even if they aren't entitled to visit the events only open to professional visitors." Around 100 retail stores in Berlin-Mitte have already confirmed they'll be taking part in BREAD & Butter Shopping Nights, including 14 oz., adidas, ARROW, Burg & Schild, Civilist, Converse, Diesel, Drykorn, Dunderdon, Floris van Bommel, Fossil, G-Star, Kaviar Gauche, Lala Berlin, Levi's, Onitsuka Tiger, Strellson, Tommy Hilfiger Denim, Red Wing Shoes and many more. A large number of new store openings are also planned to take place during BREAD & BUTTER Shopping Nights, including Closed by 14 oz., Eastpak, Mykita, Pointer Footwear, Scotch & Soda and True Religion. The creative and highly frequented district from Hackescher Markt to Rosenthaler Platz/Torstraße/Brunnenstraße, and from Oranienburger Staße to Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße/Dircksenstraße, will become the retail hub of urban casualwear. The participating stores will be surprising shoppers on both BREAD & BUTTER Shopping Nights with special events and activities tailored to their customers, e.g. live acts, DJ sets and exclusive presentations of special collection highlights.
